Red Fox

This weekend I decided to take a break from landscape photography and go shoot some wildlife. I drove down about 2 hours and 40 min to Bombay Hook NWR in Dover Delaware. I was hoping to shoot some birds and specially the red and gray foxes in the refuge. I should have done my homework better on what was a better time to go there. It was freezing cold and there wasn’t much wild life. Although I did manage to see some winter geese and I think it was a Falcon, but I only had a 70-300mm Nikor lens which didn’t help much. I saw a few photographers there with a bazooka 500mm, running after the only Red Fox that was out for a stroll. I really need to get me one of those 🙂 . I couldn’t take any good shots so I decided to sop by the Bear Swamp lake and thought may be I’ll wait for the sunset and take some photos, which did not pan out good either 🙂 . So I decided to head back and go to a Starbucks because I had a long drive back. Just about 2 miles from the NWR exit I saw this Red Fox taking its evening walk on the road, I just jumped out my car with my camera and tried to creep up on this lil buddy 🙂 .  Managed to get the shots below. I came back home a happy photographer 😀
